Pump Intake Repairs (Re-Bid)

As of this time it is unknown if and when project will rebid.** Project Location: Brechtel Memorial Park, 4401 Lennox Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70131 The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. This project consists of the extension of the existing canal intake pipe and installation of an intake filtering device, secured within a pre-cast concrete wet well or junction box to provide a reliable source of water for intake pump operations. 2. Project includes checking the operation of, cleaning and repairing as needed the existing pump system and housing to allow resumption of full-time pump operation; clearing sediment basin of debris and organic material; clearing submerged drain line in bed system and resetting clean out covers as necessary; clearing pipe under roadway for unimpeded water flow; and, checking outflow area for signs of erosion which are to be mitigated by replanting iris or turf grass. 3. During the bidding process, Contractor to visit site and verify site conditions as necessary to execute the Work per the Drawings and the Specifications. 4. Tree protection specifications and original construction drawings are being provided for reference; coordinate with Owner Representatives unless otherwise directed. 5. Contractor to verify existing conditions before submitting the bid. Type of Contract: Project will be constructed under a single prime contract. The Contractor also Version: October 2021 - Purchasing/JPM guarantees completion of this contract within the number of calendar days shown below and any approved extensions from the date of the "Notice to Proceed". Calendar Days 90 Days A bid bond or security in an amount not less than $100 or five percent (5%) of bid amount, conditioned on the bidder's failure to execute a contract with the City to supply the specified goods or services.
