Miller, Charles and Franklin Streets Sewer Improvements

Work under this project includes, but is not limited to, installation of 515 LF 8” PVC sanitary sewer on Charles Street, including 130 LF of 4” building sewer, 175 LF of 6” building sewer, 4 EA manholes, replacement of 50 LF 15” SICPE combined sewer outfall pipe near Miller Street, installation of 140 LF 8” Æ DI and PVC sanitary sewer on Franklin Street, including 15 LF 6” Æ building sewer, 4 EA manholes, and traffic control, trench and roadway pavement, trench and roadway erosion control, all earthwork and restoration of disturbed areas and incidentals as required for a complete project. Alternate Bid No. 1 includes installation of 200 LF 8” Æ PVC sewer on Franklin Street, 1 EA manhole, 50 LF of 4” building sewer and 40 LF of 6” building sewer.All the work for the Franklin Street Sewer Plan and Profile as shown on Sheet C-3 must be conducted at night, on weekends and outside the days and hours of operation for the Post Office to minimize disruption. All excavations must be fully backfield and compacted to finish grade and all equipment must be removed from the project area at the end of the working period to allow full use of the area around the Post Office and along Main Street and Franklin Street.
