Description | In accordance with the Contract Plans and Specifications, the project consist of placing and constructing approximately 2,000 feet of 42-inch corrugated HDPE pipe with control gates at the inlet and outlet infrastructures and appurtenances, existing utility adjustments, 220 feet of 42-inch steel jack and bore, maintenance access road, installation of stormwater mitigation infrastructure. The earthwork consists of reshaping and reseeding of the Old Channel Canal with a temporary and permanent check dam. All said work is to be done in accordance with the Contract Documents, at the places and in the particular locations, of the form, sizes and dimensions and of the materials, and to the lines and grades and at the elevations as shown on the Plans and Specifications made therefore and approved by HLVRCD. Questions regarding the project shall be submitted September 14, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. PST. Each Bid shall be presented under sealed cover and shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check, cash or bidder's bond, made payable to HLVRCD, in an amount not less than ten (10) percent of the bid. The said check shall be given as a guarantee that the Bidder will execute the Contract in conformity with the form of agreement contained within the Contract Documents and will furnish bonds and insurance policies as specified within ten (10) days after notification of the award of the Contract to the successful Bidder. general prevailing rate for holidays, Saturdays and Sundays, and overtime work for public work projects of more than one thousand dollars ($1,000) in the locality in which the work is to be performed for each craft, classification, or type of worker required to execute the contract. Said prevailing rate of per diem wages will be made available, and a copy thereof shall be posted at the job site. Bidders intending to use a craft or classification not shown on the prevailing rate determinations may be required to pay the rate of the craft or classification most closely related to it. Pursuant to Labor Code Section 1773.3, HLVRCD shall provide notice to the Department of Industrial Relations of the award of this Contract within 30 days of the award. |
