Description | As of March 14, 2023, the project has been awarded. A contract award amount and a timeline for construction have not been confirmed. The Texas A&M University System Office of Facilities Planning & Construction (FP&C), on behalf of the Board of Regents of The Texas A&M University System (Owner) and Texas A&M AgriLife Research, is soliciting statements of qualifications for selection of an Architect/Engineer (A/E) firm for the Animal Reproductive Biotechnology Center project located on the RELLIS Campus in Bryan, Texas in accordance with the terms, conditions, and requirements set forth in this Request for Qualifications (RFQ). The new Animal Reproductive Biotechnology Center will be approximately 7,500 assignable square feet (asf) which translates to approximately 12,600 gross square feet (GSF). In addition to the built facility, the Center will include approximately 11,500 square feet (SF) of exterior covered space. Integrating the building with the animal handling spaces is critical to transferring and processing specimens properly. The new Animal Reproductive Biotechnology Center will further the Department of Animal Science's pursuit of innovation and collaboration through academic and industry-partnered research. Focusing on the latest techniques and hands-on instruction, the new Center will support the Department's vision to become a touchstone for the future of animal reproductive science. The planning amount for the project is $9,991,833, which includes an Amount Available for Construction Contract (AACC) of $7,493,875. Fees, furnishings, other work, miscellaneous expenses, and contingencies make up the balance of the Planning Amount. This RFQ is the first step in the process for selecting a firm. The RFQ provides the information necessary to prepare and submit Qualifications for consideration by the Owner. The Owner may select the top three (3) or more of the top ranked qualified respondents to present their qualifications during an interview.
