Description | Township of Hamilton Headworks Facilities Flow Channel Rehabilitation A. Work includes but is not limited to bypass pumping treatment plant flow around the Headworks Facility; repairs to and coating of wall surfaces within channels and wells; construction of reinforced concrete closure wall; construction of elevated platform with FRP grating and accessories; replacing two (2) cast iron sluice gates with stainless steel slide gates; and, replacing four (4) odor control system inlet dampers. Bids shall be submitted on the form(s) provided and shall be in accordance with the specifications contained in the Instructions to Bidders and other bidding documents. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of the Local Public Contracts Law, the Prevailing Wage Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq,, the requirements of P. L. 1975, c.127, and N.J.S.A 10:5-31 et seq. and N.JA.C. 17:27-1.1 et seq., Affirmative Action, and all requirements as set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. Bids must be made on standard proposal forms, in the manner designated and must be received in sealed opaque envelopes, bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the project on the outside, addressed to the Purchasing Agent, Township of Hamilton and must be accompanied by a Non-Collusion Affidavit, as per N.J.S.A. 52:34-15 and a bid bond or certified check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, providing that said check or bid bond need not be more than $20,000.00 nor shall not be less than $500.00, as per N.J.S.A. 40A:11-21, and be delivered at the place and on or before the hour named above. The Township may reject any or all bids, as per N.J.S.A. 40A:11-13.2. A bidder may request that it bid be withdrawn due to a "mistake" on the part of the bidder, as defined in N.J.S.A. 40A11-23.3. Otherwise, no bids may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date and time set for the opening of the bids. Also, under N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 at seq. and N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.55, the Contractor and all subcontractors must be registered pursuant to the Public Works Registration Act. It is recommended that a copy of the Contractor's and Subcontractor's current Certificate of Registration is submitted with the bid proposal as well as the Business Registration Certificate issued by the State of New Jersey. If copies are not provided with the bid submittal the copies must be provided prior to contract award. All interested respondents should still check the website from now through bid opening.
