Description | CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 10/7/2022 4:00 PM A. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. Full depth milling and repaving of the existing parking lot, including striping and precast concrete parking bumper reinstallations and replacements. 2. New ADA parking spaces and curb ramps. 3. New ADA ramp and handrails under the main entrance canopy. 4. Replacement of an existing stormwater trench drain. 5. All other Work as indicated in the Contract Documents and Specifications. B. Type of Contract: 1. Project will be constructed under a single-prime contract. The Housing Authority of the City of Allentown, PA, by virtue of its contract with the United States of America, acting through the Department of Housing and Urban Development, pursuant to the United States Housing Act of 1937, as amended, is hereby requesting bids for the Allentown Housing Authority Walnut Manor Parking Lot Improvements located at 1519 Walnut Street, Allentown, PA 18102. Attention is called to all respondents that all applicable Equal Employment Opportunity requirements for federally assisted contracts must be complied with. This includes strict compliance with Executive Order 11246, as amended (establishing a goal of 6.9% for female employment and 1.3% minority percentage by craft); Nondiscrimination; Executive Order 11625, Minority Business Enterprises; Executive Order 12138, Women Business Enterprise; Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968; Civil Rights Act of 1964; and Minority Business Participation. The Allentown Housing Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals or to waive any informalities in bidding, and to withhold award for a period of sixty (60) days.
