Description | City of Johnstown owns the historic City Hall building located at 401 Main Street in Johnstown, PA. The contractor will provide staffing and resources to complete the following requested work tasks: 1. Roof Repairs: Properly prepare existing lead coated copper box gutters for new Roof Mate Coating System, or other similar coating system. Properly prepare existing sheet metal cornice repairs as needed for new coating system. Provide materials and perform necessary repairs on existing roof tile – please note, there are missing roof tiles and the City has some replacement tiles that can be used for this work task. 2. Masonry Repairs and Waterproofing: Pressure wash all stone and mortar joints to make free of all dirt, debris, loose mortar, and mildew. Repair all missing and deteriorated mortar joints to the same color and style of existing mortar joints. Apply a stone waterproofing agent to all masonry. 3. Exterior Stairs Repair: The exterior concrete stairs along the Market Street entrance need replaced, along with new handrails and anti-slide surfacing. The exterior concrete stairs along the Main Street entrance need new handrails and anti-slide surfacing. The handrails and antislide surfacing on both sets of steps should match. 4. Second Floor Wall Masonry Repair: Currently, an interior stonewall is deteriorating on th second floor of City Hall causing a wood panel wall to heave outward approximately four inches. In addition, the nearby window frame has become weakened from this deterioration. Repairs to both the stone wall and window frame are required. 5. First Floor Tile Repairs: Repairs to the tile flooring found on both the exterior entrances and first floor hallway are required. Currently, there are several missing small round tiles and cracks found throughout this area. Replacement tile and grout utilized in this repair should match existing floor tile and grout. |
