Description

PURPOSE: Stormwater Management Facility Maintenance at various locations within the Fredericksburg District in the counties of Caroline, Essex, Gloucester, King George, King & Queen, King William, Lancaster, Matthews, Middlesex, Northumberland, Richmond, Spotsylvania, Stafford, and Westmoreland. All work shall be done in accordance with the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), Virginia Erosion and Sediment Control Handbook (VESCH) and Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Affairs (VDACS) regulations. Additional structures will be added as they are taken into the Agency system. The Contractor shall provide supervision, labor, equipment, materials, maintenance and repair, fuel, traffic control and other incidentals needed to meet the requirements of this IFB. The work shall consist of mowing, debris and litter removal, sediment removal and disposal, vegetation control to include woody vegetation removal, eradication of invasive or noxious plant species to include kudzu, Johnsongrass, Japanese Knotweed and poisonous plants such as poison ivy and poison oak. QUESTIONS REGARDING THIS INVITATION FOR BID: Any questions regarding this invitation for bid shall be addressed to Kristy Jeter at Kristy.Jeter@vdot.virginia.gov. The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. Provide questions no later than 5:00 PM on August 10, 2022. If you plan to participate in the Mandatory pre-bid teleconference you must provide the following information via email to Kristy.Jeter@vdot.virginia.gov no later than 5:00 PM EST on the business day prior to the scheduled conference. o Solicitation Number and Title o Company Name and Address At the start of the conference the Contract Officer will conduct a roll call to identify the individuals participating on the call. Participants will be requested to provide their names, company and contact information during the roll call. Participants who did not provide their information in advance will be requested to provide their name, company and contact information during the roll call. Bids will only be accepted from those Bidders who are represented and make their participation known to the Contract Officer during the teleconference roll call but no later than 11:05 AM EST.
