Description | As of February 28, 2023, the project has been awarded. A timeline for construction have not been confirmed. All questions relating to the bid must be submitted in writing to Emmett Brinkerhoff, Public Works Director, (928) 927-4333, ebrinkerhoff@quartzsiteaz.org, with a copy to Nicole Collier, (928) 927-4333 x 200, ncollier@quartzsiteaz.org, Public Works Department, PO Box 2812, 580 East Quail Trail, Quartzsite, AZ 85346, referencing this IFB prior to the April 19, 2022, bidder questions deadline indicated on the Bidding Procedure Timetable. The contractor shall bear all risks associated with delays in the US mail or delivery service. Any requests received after the stated deadline may not be considered. All requests received prior to the deadline will be responded to in writing by the Town in the form of an addendum addressed and sent to all registered plan holders. Bid Security in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total Bid must accompany each Bid Form in the type and form specified in these Bid/Contract Documents. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any informalities and minor irregularities in bids, and to accept the Bid deemed in the opinion of the Town of Quartzsite to be in the best interest of the Town. A conditional or qualified Bid may be cause for rejection. A Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent (100%) of the Contract Price, with a corporate surety approved by the Contracting Agency, will be required for the faithful performance of the Contract. Attorneys-in-Fact who sign Bid Bonds or Performance Bonds or Labor and Material Payment Bonds must file with each Bond a certified and effective dated copy of their Power of Attorney. Within fourteen (14) calendar days of receipt of acceptable proof of insurance, W-9 form, Performance Bond, Labor and Materials Bond, any other required documents, and an Agreement signed by the party to whom the Agreement was awarded, the Owner shall sign the Agreement and return to such party a fully executed duplicate of the Agreement. Should the Owner not execute the Agreement within such period, the Bidder may, by Written Notice, withdraw the signed Agreement. Such notice of withdrawal shall be effective upon receipt of the notice by the Owner. The Town of Quartzsite will ensure that disadvantaged business enterprises (DBEs) will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids and proposals to all invitations. The Town of Quartzsite reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities of information in any bid, to re-advertise the bid, and/or take any steps determined prudent in order to resolve the protest. *Information regarding subcontractor bidding has not been disclosed to the content management team at this time.
