Blanket Advertisement for Various Minor Capital Construction Projects (Not for a Specific Project)

Contractors who submit the form listed below will be added to a bidders list, and will receive notification from CSUDH on new bidding opportunities. California State University, Dominguez Hills, is seeking qualified General Contractors holding either Class A, B, and/or C licenses, to perform various jobs and/or minor capital projects as needed through June 30, 2023. The University shall establish a shortlist of qualified contractors for possible future minor cap projects. The maximum dollar value of any individual minor capital project will not exceed $929,000.00. Contactors selected for award must be able to readily mobilize and begin work on such projects with a short timeframe; ten (10) to fifteen (15) calendar days; All projects require payment of prevailing wage rates for Los Angeles County, bonds, insurance, and mandatory 3% DVBE participation, and contractors are required to perform the work in compliance with CSU Contract General Conditions for Design-Bid-Build (Minor Capital Projects) and Supplemental General Conditions available electronically. The University shall establish a shortlist of qualified contractors and service providers for a variety of services including but not limited removal, replacement, repair, remodel, renovate, construct or maintain facilities, may include, but are not limited to, demolition, site improvements, remodels, flooring, glazing, painting, lathing and plastering, roofing, sheet metal, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, telecommunications, fire alarm, fire sprinkler, security and surveillance systems, etc. Licensed contractors interested in bidding on possible upcoming projects and wishing to be placed on a campus-maintained registry shall submit a Prospective Vendor Registration Form found in the link below. The form must be fully completed, and include the contractor license number, license classification(s), any DVBE or small business certification number, area(s) of expertise and target project size. The Trustees are required to achieve a minimum goal of 3% DVBE and 25% Small Business Enterprise participation in contracting construction projects. Important Notice: California law (SB854) provides that "A contractor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, subject to the requirements of Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code, or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, as defined in this chapter, unless currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5." Csu dominguez hills will not advertise this work on a project-by-project basis. This will be the only advertisement made for the current period july 1, 2022 through july 31, 2023.
