Description

- Demolition: electrical, plumbing, roof penetrations - New electrical and IT to support the Shakers - Facade modification - louvers - New roof penetrations. - Acoustical separation - Concrete work, exterior/interior - Landscape, transformer pad, electrical connection to the building - The electrical building infrastructure has to be upgraded: the service, transformer and feeders will need to be upgraded. - Heating for the space would remain as it presently exists. - Outdoor air will be brought into the space to make-up the air exhausted by the shaker exhaust fans. A fixed blade outdoor air louver with an 18-inch deep intake plenum and low-leakage motorized damper assembly will replace the upper-most row of existing fixed windows on the north wall; above the operable windows and below the arched windows. - Cooling needs will require adding 1 fan coil unit fan room only. Alternatively localized cooling will be provided at each shaker system and a remote grade-mounted condensing unit located in the northeast corner of the building - Alternatively additional spot cooling to relieve “concentrated” high temperatures created by the shaker equipment is considered.
