Description | 1. This solicitation requests the pricing of demolition services, and any and all required pre-demolition asbestos abatement as required by local, state and federal agencies, of the abandoned Federal Aviation Administration property located at the dead-end of Francis Taylor Blvd and is owned by the Pensacola International Airport. 2. The property is vacant and may be accessed during and outside of normal business hours. 3. Pricing shall include asbestos abatement as dictated in Asbestos Survey Report supplied by the Pensacola International Airport 4. Pricing shall include installation of new perimeter fence to match existing in order to provide a continuous barrier to the airfield as required by Federal regulations. Airport will be responsible for continuation of the Perimeter Intrusion Detection System. 5. Contractor shall secure all permits, licenses, etc. per General Conditions Section 13. 6. Due to the close proximity of the worksite to aircraft operations, jet blast, and wind are considered very hazardous both on and off worksite. Great care must be taken to avoid any debris becoming airborne and becoming a missile hazard. Additionally, debris cannot migrate off site under any circumstance where it can become a hazard to either aircraft or personnel. 7. The power source was from a transformer that is located on the north side of the building. The feed from Gulf Power to those transformers will have to stay in place as it also feeds the electrical vault on the north side of the property and must be protected during demolition. 8. Backflow preventers are to be removed and water service to be terminated at the meter. 9. Gas lines are to be removed and terminated at the nearest distribution line. 10.Sidewalks leading to building are to be removed. 11.Concrete slabs to be removed. 12.Contractor is responsible for disposal costs. Contractor shall provide copies of landfill receipts and septic tank closeouts with final invoicing. |
