Hilltop Road Lift Station, Force Main, Gravity Sewer Improvements

The Contract generally consists of constructing a new 2 MGD submersible, duplex, fixed-speed sewer lift station with 250 kW backup diesel generator to be located southwest of Sedgefield Lakes at 2604 W. Woodlyn Way, Greensboro, NC to replace the existing lift station located at 5230 Hilltop Rd, Greensboro, NC. The proposed gravity line consists of approximately 4,000 LF of 10-inch and 16-inch sewer and will extend the existing gravity sewer from the Hilltop Lift Station along Bull Run Creek to the new Lift Station. 12,000 LF of 16-inch force main is proposed to run generally parallel to the proposed gravity sewer, then follow Hilltop Road and Bridford Parkway. The new force main will discharge into a proposed 800 LF section of 30-inch gravity sewer to be bored and jacked across the I-40 right-of-way and will discharge into an existing gravity sewer leading to the South Buffalo Outfall. The existing Hilltop Road Lift Station and Force Main will be abandoned as a result of these improvements.
