Description

Demolition and removal of the structure(s) shall include, as applicable: 1. The Contractor is responsible for the demo operator to thoroughly water the site of impact where the equipment demolishes the structure. In addition water down area as structures are being demoed 2. Demolition and removal of structures shall include removal of the entire identified structure(s) and contents to the construction limits. The selected contractor is to properly contain and dispose of any and all asbestos containing materials as required by local, state and federal guidelines. Examples of asbestos landfills Los Reales or RAD in Florence 3. The selected Contractor must meet all Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ), Pima County and Arizona Revised Statutes and ordinances related to storm water drainage, dust, debris that may impact the area. 4. Fences shall be removed. Unless otherwise directed by the district. 5. Remove and dispose of any propane tanks and all piping, in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. 6. The price bid for the demolition of each property shall include any and all detached buildings and/or accessory structures and everything in and on the premises unless specifically excluded in the listed scope of work. 7. Clean all cement surface that remain ,fill in holes and remove any building material that may be protruding 8. Grade surrounding area to level and drainage condition. Add/Alt pricing to perform additional work: 1. Remove all alt. floor slabs, foundations pilings, steps, and other above ground materials 2. Remove all-weather, impervious surfaces including concrete shall be removed. CLEANUP: 1. Cleanup shall follow immediately after and at the same rate as demolition. Cleanup shall not be delayed until the entire project is finished. The Contractor shall clean all right-of-way and easement areas that were occupied by the Contractor in connection with the demolition. The Contractor shall not allow mud and debris from vehicle transporting demolition materials to litter any streets or highways. The Contractor shall clean-up any such mud or debris at its sole expense. All disturbed brush and trees, all rubbish, excess materials, temporary structures, equipment, etc., shall be removed and the area left in a neat and presentable condition. If at any time during performance of work by the Contractor, the District’s representative determines that cleanup is not being accomplished, the District’s representative may direct, in writing, no additional work can be accomplished without meeting certain requirements. If so directed, no claim for additional time will be allowed. 2. The Contractor is to provide extra care during performance of work by Contractor to ensure that no rock, base stone, string, stakes, or any other construction material is left in the water main or irrigation lines. At the end of each construction day, the ends of all such lines shall be sealed watertight and all points of entry are to be covered to prevent easy access. No rain, storm water, or ground water shall be allowed to enter the water main or irrigation systems.
