Description | The scope of this bid package: Upgrades to the districts Classroom AV and Paging systems, including but not limited to removal and replacement of existing AV devices, paging speakers, supporting infrastructure and components. Audio-Visual: Removal and replacement of classroom presentation systems, removal of existing unused gear, configuration, and testing of installed systems. Drawings to be released will contain full and detailed scope. Paging Systems: Removal and replacement of existing paging speakers and wiring, re-configuration and programing of system head-ends. Drawings to be released will contain full and detailed scope. Project Location: Eaton Rapids High School, 800 State St., Eaton Rapids, MI 48827. Eaton Rapids Middle School, 815 Greyhound Dr, Eaton Rapids, MI 48827. Greyhound Intermediate School, 805 Greyhound Dr, Eaton Rapids, MI 48827. Greyhound Central Elementary School, 912 Greyhound Dr, Eaton Rapids, MI 48827. Lockwood Elementary School, 810 Greyhound Dr, Eaton Rapids, MI 48827. Union Street Center, 501 Union St., Eaton Rapids, MI 48827 Transportation & Maintenance Buildings, 917 Greyhound Dr, Eaton Rapids, MI 48827. The work may be awarded to a single prime contractor. This contractor may use subcontractors to provide a complete solution. The work may also be awarded to multiple contractors. All approaches will be considered by the owner, based on the owners best interests. AE Tech Design is administering the bid process and will manage the awarded contractor(s). AE Tech Design is managing the construction by awarded contractors. OAK is managing the construction of work performed by other trades whose scope is not issued in this project. Awarded contractor shall coordinate all construction activities with AE Tech Design and OAK, making sure to co-operate with all trade contractors when necessary. Work will take place over the summer of 2023, beginning 6/10/2023. Timelines above are subject to expansion due to product availability. The ability to adjust and be flexible under the current supply-chain circumstances will be required by the awarded contractor(s). Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after opening of bids. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. Desired time of completion is before the start of the 2023-24 School year, but will remain flexible due to product availability and lead times. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. |
