Description

SCDNR is soliciting quotes to Remove and replace a Roof at Webb WMA in Garnett SC. Contractor MUST have a SC LLR General Contractors License The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) is soliciting quotes from qualified vendors to remove and replace the existing shingle roof with a Master Rib Metal Roof System per manufactures specifications. at 3458 Hamilton Ridge Road Garnett SC 29922 on Webb WMA. Specifications: 1. Removal and complete disposal of existing roof system down to the existing wood deck. 2. Remove and replace any damaged plywood. Include price/sheet. 3. Any additional woodwork needing to be done will be discussed and approved by owner. 4. Furnish and install synthetic underlayment over entire roof area. 5. Furnish and install peel and stick ice and water shield to all eaves, rakes and valleys. 6. Furnish and install Master Rib Metal Roofing system and all associated trim as described in manufacturer's specifications and details. 7. Remove and replace existing gutter system and downspout (black) on back area of house. 8. Upon completion the owner shall receive a manufacturer's 25 year finish warranty on materials and a 5 year contractor's warranty on workmanship. Additional Scope The existing wood decking shall be repaired/replaced as needed over the entire roof area and mechanically fastened into roof rafters using appropriate length screws. New interlocking metal roof shall be installed using appropriate fasteners. The color of the steel metal roofing shall be Black (color must be approved before ordering material). Any protrusions through the roof such as vents, pipes, or stacks shall be flashed and sealed to be watertight. Existing step flashing shall be replaced with new material. Install minimum 30lb felt moisture barrier underlayment. Install ice and water shield at eaves and valleys. Install 1 X 4 No. 1 SYP furring strips 2' on center across entire roof system. Furring strips will be fastened with appropriate length coated screws at the existing rafter locations. Closure strips are to be applied to all applicable trims. . Replace all existing pipe boots. Any major areas of disrepair due to rot or fatigue found under the existing shingles will be repaired before new metal roof is installed. All debris pertaining to the work shall be removed from the job site upon completion of the work. The job site shall be kept in a neat and orderly condition. Run magnet over premises to pick up any loose nails. The Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining all necessary permits. The contractor shall tarp any open and/or exposed areas at the end of each day to prevent any unforeseen water damage. Completion Date: All work must be completed within forty five (45) days of receipt of Purchase Order.
