AuSable Bridge Construction

The Crawford County Road Commission shall be replacing the existing single span side by side box beam structure on County road 612 over the Ausable River. The Structure shall be replaced with a new single span structure with a composite concrete deck founded on pile-supported concrete curtain wall abutments. The entire length of existing guardrail on both sides of the roadway shall be removed and replaced to current standards. The cross section of the bridge will be a 32-foot clear roadway width to accommodate (2) 11- food lanes and 5-foot shoulders. This will require some widening of the roadway approaches. The approaches will be reconstructed to adjust for any vertical profile adjustment as necessary to meet current design criteria. Construction can being no earlier than July 17, 2023. The Project must be completely open to traffic by November 3, 2023. The entire project must be completed by November 17, 2023. Detour rote shall be Kolka Creek Road to Hulbert road and shall be maintained by the road commission during the Bridge Replacement project. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
