| Description | The contractor shall remove currently installed Intrusion Detection System (IDS) head end equipment, access control equipment, and associated cabling where it does not meet prescribed standards. A new IDS and associated sensors shall be installed and configured to support the configuration provided in Attachment 1. A new Access Control System and associated readers shall be installed to support the configuration provided in Attachment 1. Existing locking hardware, door position switches, and X10 locks with lock position sensors shall be reused if in working condition. Door position switches and lock position switches shall be connected to the ACS. All ACS and IDS cabling must be in electric metallic tube (EMT) conduit with compression fittings installed in accordance with NEC and ICD 705 requirements. Contractor is encouraged to leverage existing infrastructure to support these requirements. Removed equipment will remain with the customer. |
