Description

The County of Aroostook is soliciting proposals (BIDS) for the replacement of a ballasted rubber flat roof with An adhered rubberized membrane flat roof at the Aroostook County Jail, 15 Broadway Houlton, Maine. The County Commissioners reserve the right to accept or reject any or all bids. Owner shall designate in writing a representative or representatives who shall be available at all times, at the site f the work during progress thereof and who shall have authority to act for the Owner in all matters concerning the work. Owner's on site representative shall be Mr. Dan Bouchard; 207-538-7670, dan@aroostook.me.us and the project manager shall be Mr. Bryan Jandreau; (207) 493-6305, bryan.jandreau@aroostook.me.us General Description a) Provide and furnish all necessary labor, materials, equipment and methods in connection with required demolition of existing ballasted/stone materials and installation of new materials for the replacement of an adhered rubberized sixty (60) Mil. EPDM membrane flat roof system at the Aroostook County Jail, 15 Broadway, Houlton, Maine. b) This location is a jail/detention center. Contractor and subcontractors shall not have interaction with inmates. i) This project roof has a concrete deck requiring an adhesive "glue down" installation; ii) Roof applicator shall be specialized in the installation of sheet roofing membranes with documented experience of not less than five (5) years and shall be a certified and approved manufacturer's installer. Written certificate shall be provided by the Contractor to the Owner; iii) Project documents are intended to include everything necessary for the proper and entire finishing of the work; iv) All roof areas of this flat roof approximately two thousand five hundred and twelve square feet (2,512 sq') are to have new commercial rubberized roofing and insulation underlayment, Contractor responsible for calculating actual square feet; v) The roof on the elevator shaft is included in this replacement project. vi) Provide any and all subcontract work, as needed. c) Actual measurements, sections, and elevations for the implementation of this project are the responsibility of the Contractor
