Description | The work to be performed under this specification shall include but is not limited to the following: Attend necessary job meetings and furnish competent and full time supervision, experienced roof mechanics, all materials, tools, and equipment necessary to complete, in an acceptable manner, the roof installation in accordance with this specification. Comply with the latest written application instructions of the manufacturer of the primary roofing products. In addition, application practice shall comply with requirements and recommendations contained in the existing roofing warranty. A roof membrane assembly consisting of two plies of a prefabricated, reinforced, homogeneous Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene (SBS) block copolymer modified asphalt membrane, applied over a prepared substrate. Reinforcement mats shall be impregnated/saturated and coated each side with SBS modified bitumen blend. The cross sectional area of the sheet material shall contain no oxidized or non-SBS modified bitumen. The roof system shall pass 500 cycles of ASTM D 5849 Resistance to Cyclic Joint Displacement (fatigue) at 14F (-10C). Passing results shall show no signs of membrane cracking or interply delamination after 500 cycles. The roof system shall pass 200 cycles of ASTM D 5849 after heat conditioning performed in accordance with ASTM D 5147. The assembly shall possess waterproofing capability, such that a phased roof application, with only the modified bitumen base ply in place, can be achieved for prolonged periods of time without detriment to the watertight integrity of the entire roof system. Modular sealing-element unit, designed for field assembly, for filling annular space between piping and sleeve. 1. Designed to form a hydrostatic seal of 20 psig minimum. 2. Sealing Elements: EPDM-rubber interlocking links shaped to fit surface of pipe. Include type and number required for pipe material and size of pipe. 3. Pressure Plates: Carbon steel. 4. Connecting Bolts and Nuts: Carbon steel, with ASTM B633 coating of length required to secure pressure plates to sealing elements. A. Suspended Ceiling System consisting of main runners and cross runner tees snapped together to form modules or grids for the installation of lay-in acoustical tiles or panels, air diffusers, and light fixtures. B. Structural Performance and Suspension System Types: 1. Type HD/EG: Heavy duty, direct hung, exposed grid. (Minimum load carrying capability of main runners: 16 lb/lin ft). The Contractor shall complete all work necessary for substantial completion within 674 calendar days from receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The Funds project specific goals for this project are 18% MBE and 12% WBE and 6% SDV. The Fund waives fees and deposits for sets of the Contract Documents requested by NYS certified Minority- and Women-Owned Business Enterprise or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Enterprise. Bids must be submitted in duplicate in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders. Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid. Each bid must be identified, on the outside of the envelope, with the name and address of the bidder and designated a bid for the Project titled above. When a sealed bid is placed inside another delivery jacket, the bid delivery jacket must be clearly marked on the outside BID ENCLOSED. It is the policy of the State of New York and the Fund to encourage minority/womens business enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy. The Fund reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Bidders who register as a plan holder through the Printer may acquire the bidding and contract documents using the following options: 1. For a non-refundable fee of ten dollars ($10), interested firms may request and receive an electronic download of the bidding and contract documents.
