Description | Provide all labor, equipment and materials to remove one (1) 23’4” x 8’10” window-wall storefront and replace with a new custom hollow metal framed, glazed, window-wall storefront system with two (2) double leaf doorways, complete with reinforcement, shims, anchors, attachment devices and door hardware as follows: 1. Contractor to install new window-wall storefront system as per Exhibit A Elevation. Exhibit A is provided to illustrate basic visual features, units, site lines and typical details only. Contractor is responsible for confirmation of all measurements before submitting bid. A photograph of the existing window wall storefront is included for reference as Exhibit B. 2. New window-wall storefront system shall consist of minimum 16-gage hollow metal frame, assemblies with interior and exterior exposed framing and concealed fasteners. Metal facings shall be flat and smooth. Glazing shall consist of ¼-inch tempered glass throughout. 3. New window-wall storefront system shall include two (2) pair, 36-inch hollow metal doors with 6”x30” cutouts with VSL insert frame, 1/4-inch tempered glass. Doorways to be complete with emergency exit devices, closers, threshold and cylinder locks. 4. All work shall include manufacture’s recommended weather deflectors, weather stripping, molding or sealants to ensure a watertight installation. 5. Installation shall separate dissimilar metals with protective coatings or pre-formed separators to prevent contact and corrosion. 6. Completed installation shall be watertight and remain free from rattles, deflections, wind whistles and noise due to thermal expansion and wind pressure. |
