Description

The scope of work for this project will include the infrastructure restoration of up to five railroad trestles. Upon completion of infrastructure; decking, posts, railing, and approaches will be added to allow the trestle to be used for hiking and biking. The location of this work will be in a remote area of the Mendota Trail called the gorge near the community of Phillips in Washington County, Virginia. Access to the trestles is via the linear trail.
