Description

Sealed proposals for the construction of Dye Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant Maintenance Building will be received by The City of Pell City, Alabama (Owner). The bid is comprised of the following principal items and approximate quantities: 9,000 sf Metal Building and Interior Finishes and associated site work. All Bidders must be responsible, meeting the criteria and requirements set forth in the specification documents. Prequalification of Bidders is not required. This project is considered a "Public Works" project and is governed by competitive bid laws as contained in Title 39 of the Alabama Code. Bidders, subcontractors, suppliers, and Bond Agents should be familiar with this code. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technicalities. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty days from the date set for receiving of the same. There will not be a Pre-Bid Conference for this Project. This project is governed by the applicable bid laws and practices of the State of Alabama. Project communication is generally through the Engineer and the work shall be accomplished under the inspection of the Engineer. The Engineer shall decide questions which arise concerning materials furnished, and work performed. The Engineer shall interpret the Plans and Specifications during the fulfillment of the Contract. The Engineer shall have authority to decide disputes and mutual right between Contractors. The Engineer is not authorized to increase the obligation of the Owner to the Contractor, except in accordance with the terms of the Contract.
