FY 22/23 Capital Improvement Project Street Resurfacing Project

- Base Bid - Nags Head Acres Subdivision - Old Nags Head Cove Subdivision - E Barnes Street - E Admiral Street - Add Alternate #1 - S Memorial Ave - Add Alternate #2 - Soundside Road The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Construction Payment and Construction Performance Bond for 100% of the contract amount as security for the faithful performance and the payment of all bills and obligations arising from the performance of the Contract. A 5% Bid Bond shall accompany the bid. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation the rights to reject any or all nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids, On or about Friday, December 10, 2022 a Notice to Proceed shall be issued by the Engineer. The effective date of Notice to Proceed, and thus the first day of the Contract Time, if this schedule is maintained, will be Saturday, April 8, 2023. 5. The Date of Substantial Completion shall be one-hundred and twenty (1200) calendar days from the effective date of the Notice to Proceed, or Saturday, April 9, 2023. This date shall be finalized at the time the contract is executed by the Contractor. The Date of Final Completion shall be fourteen (14) calendar days thereafter, as provided in the General Conditions. On Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 2 p.m., bids will be publicly opened and read, by the Town Engineer in the Conference Room, Nags Head Municipal Complex 5401 S. Croatan Hwy., Nags Head, North Carolina. 3. On or about Thursday December 9, 2022, a Pre-Construction Meeting will be held jointly with the Town of Nags Head at a location to be announced. On this date, letters also will be sent by the Town staff to property owners affected by the project.
