H247--Snow Melt Leak Detection Pittsburgh VAMC

The VAPHS VA Pittsburgh needs contracted services to perform and provide Acoustical Testing Leak Detection of 12 identified glycol loop concrete imbedded pipe leaks. The leaks have disabled portions of the snow melt system which inhibits the system from operating and providing ice and snow melt protections. The services are to provide leak detection and location only, the actual repairs will be contracted later when a full scope and assessment is completed. The information obtained from the leak detection will provide the data to design and plan the repairs of the active leaks. All the leaking passes/zones are isolated and drained of glycol (there may be small amounts of residuals) The VA will take responsibility of clean-up of any residual spillage. The work will be conducted during off tour hours from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM during the low traffic times for optimal conditions. The contractor will have support from VA staff pipe fitters for the duration of the leak testing.
