Description | The work will consist of mill, overlay, and base repair on an as-needed basis of the following roads within the Borough: Greenway Terrace, Jackson Street, Lacrosse Avenue, Bellefonte Avenue, Wesleyan Drive, Kenhorst Boulevard, MacArthur Avenue, Brooke Boulevard, and the Milford Avenue-Fayette Avenue Intersection. Bidders must conform to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act since the estimated construction costs of the project exceed $100,000. Bidders must also conform to the General Conditions and detailed Specifications in the bid package including Special Conditions to Contract MS-944 (Attachment 1-A). The Municipal Representative at this time is Dwayne Hart, Public Works Director. Only questions submitted online via PennBid(TM) shall be considered. Responses will be provided on the website and be visible to all Bidders. Any changes to the plans or specifications will be provided as an Addendum and notice will be given to Bidders through the website via email. No responses will be provided for requests received after 2:00 pm on April 18, 2022 Bids will be publicly awarded at 7:00 PM on May 4, 2022 (local time), at the Kenhorst Borough Hall at 339 South Kenhorst Blvd., Kenhorst, PA 19607. The bid must be accompanied by a Cashier's Check, Certified Check, or Bid Bond in the amount of Ten Percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to Kenhorst Borough. Also required are a properly executed Bid Form, Non-Collusion Affidavit, and Contractor's Qualification Statement. The successful bidder shall also be required to provide a Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount within ten (10) calendar days of written notice of acceptance of the Bid. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or to accept any portion of any bid, and to award Contracts as is deemed best for the Borough. |
