Elevated Storage Tank No. 3 Recoating

Scope of Work: 1. Surface preparation of the wet and dry interior surfaces of the 1,000,000-gallon elevated storage tank including abrasive blasting to near-white metal cleanliness, and removal and surface preparation of the air vents; Coating of the wet and dry interior surfaces including the wet interior piping, ladder, and air vents. 2. Surface preparation of the exterior surfaces of the 1,000,000-gallon elevated storage tank including abrasive blasting to near-white metal cleanliness and 100 percent containment; Coating of the exterior surfaces including the riser pipe and roof hatch access manways, the air vents, and a non-skid coating on the roof of the tank. 3. Surface preparation and coating of all aboveground yard piping, the base access door, dry interior piping at the base, and the interior bowl manway. 4. Surface preparation and coating of the galvanized walkway in the dry interior column with a non-skid coating. 5. The Clear Lake City Water Authority logo shall be painted as part of the exterior recoating to match the existing logo. The Contractor shall take all necessary measurements and pictures required to replace the existing Clear Lake City Water Authority logo prior to blasting the exterior of the elevated storage tank. 6. Welding of 6-inch diameter steel patches over areas that are damaged due to blasting, as directed by the Engineer. 7. Disinfection, site restoration and site cleanup. 8. Cellular providers will be informed 60 days in advance to temporarily remove their facilities during construction.
