Description | "As of March 27,2023, no bids received. A timeline for the rebid date of this project is not yet available." Boyd Recreational Area Passive Park Development and Related Improvements - Phase 2 Project Location: Boyd Recreational Area - located along the south side of Continental Drive just west of the intersection of Progress Avenue The Project includes the following Work: Installation of an octagonal wood truss pavilion, construction of approximately 1,200 feet of ADA compliant walking trail and associated pedestrian bridges, a fishing dock, extension of an existing retaining wall, landscaping, park sign and dedicated park plaque, fencing and other miscellaneous park amenities. Bid security in the form a Certified Check or Bid Bond shall be furnished with the bid in an amount not less than 10%. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted via portal in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Telephone inquiries are unacceptable. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. Bidders must comply with all State antibid-rigging regulations pertaining to work associated with this project and will be required to submit an executed non-collusion affidavit with the bid. Bidders should refer to provisions of federal and state statutes, rules and regulations dealing with the prevention of environmental pollution and preservation of public natural resources that affect the project, pursuant to Act No. 247 of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, approved October 26, 1972. This Project falls under The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania enacted Act 127 of 2012, known as the Public Works Employment Verification Act ('the Act') which requires all public work contractors and subcontractors to utilize the Federal Government's E-Verify system to ensure that all employees performing work on public work projects are authorized to work in the United States. All Bidders are required to submit a Public Works Employment Verification Form as a precondition for the Contract Award. The estimated cost of this project is greater than Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25,000) and the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act shall apply. All bids shall be irrevocable for 60 days after the bid opening date as provided by the Act of November 26, 1978 (P.L. 1309, No. 317), as amended by the Act of December 12, 1994 (P.L. 1042, No. 142). Susquehanna Township reserves the right to waive any defects, errors, omissions, mistakes, informalities, to accept any bid or combination of bids that are deemed to be in the best interest of the Susquehanna Township, and to reject any or all proposals. The Base Bid involves the Installation of an octagonal wood truss pavilion, construction of approximately 728 linear feet of ADA compliant walking trail and associated pedestrian bridge and wetland crossing, landscaping, park sign and dedicated park plaque, and other miscellaneous park amenities. 2. Alternate Bid Item 1 includes the construction of approximately 26 split rail stone pier posts in lieu of wooden split rail fence posts. 3. Alternate Bid Item 2 includes the construction of composite railing and deck boards on the pedestrian bridge and wetland crossing in lieu of pressure treated wooden railing and deck boards. |
