Description | Remove myrtle spurge manually on 48 acres with hand tools and bag it for disposal. Myrtle spurge (Euphorbia myrsinites) is an invasive weed species that is not native to the United States. It was brought here and planted as an ornamental plant in gardens. It has now escaped backyards and is spreading across the wildlands of the Wasatch Front at an alarming rate. If not stopped, this plant can dominate and outcompete other native plants that are important for wildlife food and habitat. See the scope of work for a photo of this plant. Many of the locations where this plant grows are rocky and have steep slopes. Most removal will have to be done on foot. |
