Description | This notice is to remind interested parties for the Repair and Stabilize Failing Eroded Sections of McCornack Gulch, Schofield Barracks, Oahu, Hawaii construction project will be issued in the near future. The actual solicitation will be issued through the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) website. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Honolulu District hereby announces its intent to issue a solicitation entitled, "Repair and Stabilize Failing Eroded Sections of McCornack Gulch, Schofield Barracks, Oahu, Hawaii" as described within this announcement. This project is a design-bid-build solicitation, utilizing Sealed Bidding procedures prescribed at FAR Part 14. The Government intends to issue a formal solicitation via an Invitation for Bid (IFB) in accordance with FAR Part 14, which will follow this announcement and will take place no sooner than 15 days from the publication of this announcement. Solicitation plans and specifications will be made available for viewing and/or downloading on the https://SAM.gov website on or about March 2023. It is the bidders responsibility to check for any posted changes to the solicitation. The Government intends to solicit this requirement as a Woman-Owned Small Business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this requirement is 236220 (Commercial and Institutional Building Construction). The small business size standard for this NAICS code is $45,000,000 average annual revenue. The Government intends to award a firm fixed-price construction contract as a result of this solicitation. Project Description: This design-bid-build project involves the restoration of a failed slope adjacent to McCornack Road. The slope will need to be recompacted, stabilized, and covered with vegetation. The full scope of the stabilization measure might be masked due to the overgrowth of trees and vegetation along this bank. If the sidewalk or fence is removed, it may need to be restored. The estimated period of performance is 365 calendar days. Project magnitude is between $500,000 to $1,000,000. An organized site visit will be conducted at a date and time that is to be determined. It is the bidder's responsibility to check for any posted changes to the solicitation. Solicitation documents will not be issued on compact disc (CD) unless the Government determines that it is necessary. Bidders must have and/or maintain an active registration with the System Award Management (SAM) website. To register in SAM, got to https://SAM.gov. All bidders are encouraged to visit https://SAM.gov website to view other business opportunities. Bidders shall be certified as a Woman-Owned Small Business in SAM.gov at https://SAM.gov to be eligible for award.
