Description | 1.) Sealcoat parking lot. (Approximately 301,739 square feet) Apply two (2) coats of seal coat with an additional coat applied to the entrance area. Allow each coat to cure sufficiently between coats. Allow final coat to cure overnight before allowing traffic. Include CTPE sealer specifications. Sealcoating comparable quality and durability products without the toxicity of CTPE products may be acceptable for this proposed project. 2.) Restripe all existing parking spaces, logos for parking spaces, medallions, accessible (disabled) parking areas, aisles, crosswalks, red wheel stops in front of fire hydrants, and fire lanes as before seal coating. It will be the contractor's responsibility to provide “before” and “after” photos. Re-striped to be done using TX DOT-approved latex traffic yellow, white, and blue paints. Paint lines and logos for parking spaces, accessible (disabled) parking areas, aisles, crosswalks, and fire lanes, complaint with AASHTO specifications. 3.) Repair any surface cracks—clean all cracks with compressed air or handwork. All gaps (cracks) shall be filled completely flush with the pavement. 4.) Repair potholes. Areas to be repaired should be cleaned and any water should be removed. Contractor shall saw cut/demo the existing asphalt, base trimming it back so that the new hole is based in sound pavement. Place the patch hot- mix material (TXDOT Type D) inside the hole and then compact the patch with either a vibratory roller or a vibratory plate that's smaller than the patch area. Place a ribbon of asphaltic tack material along the inside edge of the patch, overlapping the pavement and the patch. Place sand on the tack material to avoid vehicle tires tracking it. • ADDITION: Addition of one (1) F/S logo (medallion) at the entrance of lot M202 • ADDITION: Addition of Red Fire Lane Hashing in lot N301 • ADDITION: Grade and gravel the Wetlands Center Lot. |
