Description | The Jacksonville District of the US Army Corps of Engineers is seeking interested bidders for a project that consists of maintenance dredging in Camden County, Georgia & Nassau County, Florida. More specifically, work associated with the subject project involves maintenance dredging of the Kings Bay Entrance Channel Cut-1N through Range-E. The excavated material will be distributed among the Fernandina Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site (ODMDS)(D/A-O), the Fernandina Nearshore Disposal Area (D/A-N), and North Beach Disposal Area (D/A-NB). Use of a hopper dredge to perform maintenance dredging will be required for the entire extent of the project. Incidental work includes turbidity monitoring, environmental species monitoring, vibration monitoring, beach fill quality control, and sea turtle trawling. Option A project work consists of Fort Clinch pre-placement debris removal. |
