Description

The Work consists of furnishing all labor, material, and equipment required for construction of approximately 900 feet of 8-inch diameter ductile iron water main. The work also includes pavement removal, sidewalk removal, concrete curb and gutter, miscellaneous concrete pavement, HMA paving, aggregate surface course, ADA sidewalk ramps, signs, restoration and all other associated work as shown on the Drawings or specified in the Project Manual. A certified check payable to the City of Port Huron, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and a surety company, in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid, shall be submitted with each bid. No bid may be withdrawn for at least ninety (90) days after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids. All bids must be submitted on proposal forms provided by the City of Port Huron for that purpose. The City of Port Huron reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any defects or irregularities in the bid, and to accept any bid which is deemed most advantageous to the said City's interests. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory performance, labor and materials bonds, maintenance and guarantee bonds, and insurance certificates. All bidders are required to qualify according to the bidder qualification regulations for contractors bidding on City of Port Huron contracts as set forth in the instruction to bidders. Contractor must comply with the City of Port Huron Uniform City Income Tax Ordinance.
