Woodpecker Trail 20/21 Timber Sale

This sale is a combination of thinning and patch clearcutting of a 165-acres of natural loblolly, slash and longleaf pines (80+ years) from Big Shoals State Forest in Hamilton County, Florida. Timber available for harvest includes all unmarked pines and hardwoods. Pine timber marked in blue paint and hardwoods marked with blue flagging are not to be harvested or damaged. Hardwoods are to be cut and bunched as pine is being harvested. Hardwoods are not to be run-over as pine is being harvested. Sale boundaries include firebreaks, woods roads and pink flagging. Estimated volumes to be removed are 3,147 tons of pine pulpwood, 682 ton of pine chip-n-saw, 4,825 tons of pine sawtimber (20" and less), and 1,405 tons of oversized pine sawtimber (20" and above), 2,118 tons of hardwood pulpwood and 744 tons of hardwood sawtimber.
