Water Pollution Control Plant Improvements - Phase 1A

Contract 1: General Construction and Contract 2: Electrical Construction The Project consists of the construction of an ultraviolet disinfection system and pole barn to house the system, installation of new piping, valves and appurtenances, electrical and process control system improvements, and site work, at the City of Hornell Water Pollution Control Plant at 69 Park Drive, Hornell, NY 14843. Contract 1 (General Construction) Work within Contract 1 of the Project includes installation of new ductile iron pipe and fittings, installation of new process valves, construction of excavation support and protection system(s). construction of a new Disinfection Building, installation, testing, and startup of new UV disinfection Equipment, installation of new water service line components, installation of a magnetic flow meter, replacement of asphalt paving and concrete sidewalk. temporary bypass pumping. construction of erosion and sediment control measures, site work, and site restoration. Contract 2 (Electrical Construction) Work within Contract 2 of the Project includes modifications and upgrades to existing panels, electrical and signal wiring and conduit, the provision of electrical and signal connections and terminations to equipment, and installation of new breakers, panels, telemetry components, and other power and signal components.
