I-55 South of I-80 to South of Weber Rd - Bridge Preservation, Phase III

Phase III engineering is required to provide construction inspection services for the improvement of I-55 at Joliet Road Exit at IL 53. Work includes, but is not limited to, a bridge deck overlay, bridge joint replacement and repair and pavement patching, bridge deck latex concrete overlay, bridge joint replacement and repairs, bridge deck grooving, approach slab repair, bridge deck scarification, HMA shoulder reconstruction (due to MOT), longitudinal joint removal and patching, MA (Mix “F”) approach slab overlay, SMA (Mix “F”) butt joint, Class D full depth patching into asphalt and concrete bases, traffic control, pavement marking; and all incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the project as shown on the plans and as described in the special provisions. The following structures may be included in this project: • S.N. 099-0016(17): I-55 NB and SB over US 30 • S.N. 099-0018(19): I-55 NB and SB over WCL RR • S.N. 099-4615(16): I-55 NB and SB over Mink Creek (0.3-mi N. of US 30 • S.N. 099-0022(23): I-55 NB and SB over Material Service RR (Abandoned)
