Animal Research Facility Expansion - Renovation of Two Existing Teaching Laboratories

Expansion of the existing Animal Research Facility through the renovation of two existing teaching laboratories and a portion of a public corridor on the Ground Floor of the Robert C. Byrd Biotech Center at Marshall University. The Facility is a critical and integral part of the various medical and other research endeavors of the University. The approximate interior Project area is 3,900 square feet. A new service walkway with access from the existing interstitial service floor (above the Ground Floor) is also a part of the Project. Work includes selected demolition, under-slab piping rerouting, concrete slabon-grade patching, interior concrete masonry partitions, light-gage metal floor framing, metal walkway grating and pipe railing, stainless steel door frames, fiberglass doors, resin epoxy flooring, gypsum board ceilings, epoxy painting, wall protection, HVAC modifications including control systems, plumbing, laboratory gas piping, lighting, electrical and telecommunications.
