Description | SECTION 00 11 13 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR PUBLICATION: ON/OR BEFORE MARCH 15TH, 2023 1.01 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS A. Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Bergenfield Board of Education at 225 West Clinton Avenue, Bergenfield, NJ 07621 for the following contract: District Wide Mechanical Upgrades - REBID at Various District Schools. 1. Bids will be received by the Owner until 10:00am on March 29th, 2023 and will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately thereafter. B. Sealed bids will be received for the following contract: 1. Overall Single Prime (all of the work) C. One (1) Original and (1) copy of the Bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to Mrs. JoAnn Khoury-Frias, Business Administrator and shall be identified on the outside of the package (outside of mailing package if mailed) with the following: Bid for District Wide Mechanical Upgrades - REBID at the Various District Schools. D. Bid Documents will be available from the Architect after 3:00 pm on March 15th, 2023. 1. In order to ensure the proper control of the bidder's list, and proper legal distribution of required Addenda and Clarifications, Bid Documents must be procured through the website of Solutions Architecture, www.solutions-arch.com, located in the BidBox Tab. Contractors must register with the site to be included on the current bidder's list, so that any and all updates (addenda, clarifications, modifications) can be provided in writing in a timely manner. E. Bidders must purchase bidding documents for the non-refundable fee of $250.00 for one (1) paper set or $50.00 for Electronic Copies (PDF's). If contract documents are to be mailed or Fedex'd an additional charge of $25.00 will be required, and the bidder must provide their FedEx Account #. Bidders may purchase documents through the site using any major credit card or Paypal. 1. Questions regarding bidding should be directed to the Architect's office. Please contact Solutions Architecture to schedule a walk-thru. All technical questions, comments, and inquiries should be directed to Solutions Architecture; the last day for questions is March 17th, 2023. H. Bids shall be made on the Forms of Proposal provided and must be accompanied by bid security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. I. Each bidder shall submit with its bid, a Certificate of Consent of Surety as per N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-25 from a Surety company stating that it will provide the bidder and all subcontractors, if successful, with a performance/payment bond in the full amount of the contract. J. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. N.J.S.A. 18A:-18A-36(a). K. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive informality in the bidding if it is in the best interest of the Owner to do so and to award contracts only to those whose proposal is deemed by the Owner to be most advantageous to the interest of the public. L. Attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements of employment and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contracts pursuant to N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq. M. Pursuant to the "Public Works Contractor Registration Act" (P.L. 1999, c.238), bidders and their subcontractors must be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development. N. Bidders must comply with the requirements of "The Law Against Discrimination," set forth at N.J.S.A. 10:2-1, et seq., and Affirmative Action, set forth at N.J.S.A. 10:5-31, et seq., and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1.1 et seq. O. Pursuant to N.J.A.C. 6A:23A-6.3(a) (4), bidders must submit an executed C.271 political contribution disclosure form in accordance with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.26. P. Bidders and subcontractors identified in the bid must be registered with the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue, and possess a Business Registration Certificate. Q. If the bid exceeds $20,000.00, all bidders shall pre-qualify as required by the State of New Jersey, Department of the Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction, and each bid shall be accompanied by an affidavit so certifying pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18-32. All inquiries concerning prequalification should be directed to Division of Property Management and Construction, Taxation Building, 8th Floor, West State and Willow Streets, Trenton, New Jersey 08625. 1. Bidders shall be prequalified in Categories C029, C030, C032, C047 and either C008 or C009. R.
