The Town of Woodbridge, Connecticut is a rural/suburban community located in the southern portion of New Haven County, northwest of the City of New Haven. The Town has approximately 9,000 residents and is bordered by the communities of New Haven, Orange, Derby, Ansonia, Seymour, Bethany and Hamden. Woodbridge is approximately 19.2 square miles in area, with most of its land area dedicated to medium to large residential lots and open space. A small but densely developed commercial area is located directly adjacent to the town border with the City of New Haven along two major state routes (Route 63 and Route 69) and a limited access highway known as the Wilbur Cross Parkway (Route 15).
