Wilton Station Pedestrian Walkway Bridge

The project consists of excavation of a flood bench along the banks of the Norwalk River, construction of bridge abutments and retaining walls, placement of a prefabricated pedestrian truss bridge, surfacing a portion of the walkway, and associated lighting and landscape improvements. On the west side of the river, the surfaced walkway extends south beneath the Route 33 bridge, connecting to an existing parking lot in Wilton Center. The project may require water handling and requires coordination with the railroad because of work in close proximity to the railroad right of way.
