DNR - Des Plaines SFWA - Parking Lot Resealing

Applying a seal coat to the two existing hot mix asphalt pavement of parking lots and a boat launch staging lot, and restriping the parking lots at Des Plaines State Fish and Wildlife Area (DSFWA) located at Wilmington in Will County. The contractor shall clean the designated pavement areas, seal all cracks, and apply seal coats to the existing hot mix asphalt pavement of total area of approximately 6,600 square yards (SY), including restriping parking lots for total 127 vehicle parking stalls each 15 feet long including total 5 ADA vehicle parking stalls. The seal coat consists of 2 applications of coal tar pitch emulsion slurry. The seal coat and crack sealer shall be applied in accordance with the manufacturers specifications and must be compatible. The painted restriping shall match the existing parking stall striping pattern, directional lane arrows, dimensions and color including for the ADA parking stalls and its locations, and shall follow IDOT standard specifications and Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) standards issued by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). The dimensions provided here are for general guidance purpose only, it will be contractor’s responsibility to verify them in the field prior to submitting a lump sum bid.
