RFQ Design - Renovation and Upgrades at Various Building and School Properties

JMCSS has authorized renovations and upgrades to the former Madison Academie School. The selected A/E firm will provide basic design services for this project and may provide same service for other renovation and upgrades for other school buildings and properties. The A/E firm will be working with JMCSS Chief Operating Officer and the Director of Maintenance to complete the services required. If JMCSS so decides, a Construction Manager may also be a part of the Project Team Services will include the following • Attend meetings with the Project Team • Attend JMCSS School Board and Madison County Commission meetings to apprise them of the progress as requested • Develop preliminary drafts of the program for review and comment • Consult with JMCSS staff and County Commission on budget and funding as requested • Consult with the Project Team on concepts and needs • Provide standard design services; construction documents, bidding/negotiation services, and construction administration Project Scope for former Madison Academic Building Renovations • Renovations and upgrades to convert former Madison Academic School into a hub for administrative and other services for JMCSS. • Interior renovations to improve the layout for the new functions and address code deficiencies. • Systems upgrades to mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, lighting, power, security, and low-voltage data/communication/IT. • Exterior improvements for weather-tightness and to provide a modern, high-tech, creative appearance • Site improvements to enhance accessibility and improve circulation, drainage, and parking conditions. • Hazardous material abatement as needed in areas of construction. Project Scope for other school buildings and properties • Evaluate potential renovations and upgrades as requested by JMCSS administrative team. • For each renovation and upgrade project requested, provide similar Project Scope as provided for former Madison Academic Building Renovations.
