West Ramp Expansion Phase II

The West Ramp will be expanded to its ultimate configuration. This expansion will allow for new concrete pavement for aircraft loading. Drainage structures located within this pavement will be built to accommodate loads from aircraft and convey water from added pavement area. A jet fuel hydrant system will be built to provide fueling to the gate positions at the future concourse. This system will include extending a jet fuel system from an existing control valve vault. Additionally, Rental Car Road, from the exiting round-about on Old Dowd to the south, will be reconstructed with new geometrics and grades to accommodate a new prescreening area, Gate 80, and associated buildings and canopies (guardhouse and prescreening). A GSE facility will be constructed immediately to the north of the West Ramp Expansion. The GSE facility will include approximately 15,000 square yards of concrete pavement for vehicles, a fuel station for ground vehicles, a glycol storage tank and dispenser, and lavatory dump shelter with a wastewater grinder. This system will tie to existing sanitary sewer on Rental Car Road.
