Episcopal Hospital Boiler Plant Upgrade - Mechanical

Temple University intends to upgrade the existing boiler plant located at Episcopal Hospital in Philadelphia which will service the existing hospital. Completion of the boiler plant upgrade is tentatively scheduled for the fall of 2021. The upgrade will consist of the installation of three new high-pressure steam boilers with stack economizers and select ancillary equipment, including, but not limited to, new fans and heating coils as part of the combustion air system, new fuel oil pump system, controls including metering devices and tie-in to the building automation system for control and monitoring, new panels, breakers, circuits, conduit and wiring, starters, disconnects to accommodate new or re-used mechanical equipment as well as controls. The upgrade also includes fire alarm system modifications and the installation of new electrical equipment such as lighting fixtures, outlets, etc. The disconnect and removal of the existing boilers and associated ancillary equipment currently located in the plant building as well as providing temporary boilers during construction will be included in the overall Scope of Work. The Episcopal Hospital Boiler Plant Upgrade Project is structured as a multi-prime Contract arrangement. The Prime Contractors will include: General, Mechanical, Plumbing and Fire Protection, and Electrical.
