Description | The new facility shall be an approximately 2,700 SF metal building and should also include: 1. Two-bay apparatus room for fire truck and equipment storage 2. One (1) fire engine bay. The bay shall have two 14 ft. wide by 12 ft. high power operated overhead door. Doors shall be insulated steel sectional doors, with one section containing vision panels at eye level. 3. One additional personnel entrance/exit located either at the front of the building. 4. Provide metal liner panels at exterior walls of bays. Panels shall extend from floor level to 8’-0” above finished floor. 5. Exhaust fan in the two-bay apparatus room (ventilation per code requirement). 6. Heating: the fire truck bay shall be heated via propane fed infrared tube heater with a tube length determined by the manufacturer for the recommended square footage. 7. Provide at least one floor drain per vehicle in bays (for washing). 8. Electrical: In addition to lighting and outlets as required by code and convenience, the bay shall contain two overhead electrical drops located as directed by the owner. 9. An approximately 10’x10’ bathroom with shower. 10. Small business, public-use well with covering and septic tank 11. Septic system designed per DHEC regulations (see attached sketch from DHEC). 12. Outdoor water spigot 13. An approximately 10’x15’ office/storage room. 14. HVAC system 15. Brick veneer, knee-wall around the foundation. Please provide as a unit cost that can be subtracted from the bid, if necessary. 16. Standing seam, metal roof 17. 8” thick, 4000 psi concrete driveway from Miller Road (sealed inside of the building). The driveway entrance must be 175 feet from the Miller Road/Andrews Chapel intersection per DOT requirements. The driveway cannot be more than 226 feet from the intersection per County fire coverage standards. DOT encroachment permits and necessary drawings for said permits are the responsibility of the contractor. 18. Approximately 7,000 sq. ft. of driveway paving or 172 yards of concrete (numbers are approximate for convenience of bidders, not intended as an exact bid amount). 19. Provide steel pipe bollards filled with concrete at each side of truck bay doors to prevent damage to doors. 20. Exterior Lighting: Provide a minimum of 4 wall mounted LED exterior lights at building. Minimum 80 watt fixtures required. Lighting should be aesthetically pleasing. 21. Landscape allowance of $3,000.00 |
