Ferry Maintenance Facility Gangways Installation

The Contractor shall design, fabricate, deliver and install four (4) gangways and associated equipment. Each gangway shall be a complete system. The Contractor shall examine the existing site conditions to ensure compatibility with its gangway design, and to advise NYCDOT on the foundation design and determine for itself all quantities required, together with any other circumstances affecting the cost of the work. No extra compensation will be made to the Contractor because of its failure to inform itself fully. NYCDOT will supply and install required foundations on the pier deck. The Contractor shall review the foundation design and shall advise NYCDOT on any final changes to the foundation design that may be necessary to accommodate the gangways. The Contractor shall not commence gangway fabrication until the foundation design is agreed to by both the Contractor and NYCDOT Process, in the amount of $175 for contracts of an estimated value less than or equal to $1,000,000 and $350 for contracts of an estimated value greater than $1,000,000.
