Trail Maintenance Program

The selected firm shall be responsible for maintenance of trail way corridor by trimming vegetation to defined specifications as stated by the manuals, and clearing any unintentional obstacles including loose boulders, branches, and fallen trees. Examining and removing exposed roots that pose a safety risk shall be the responsibility of the selected firm. Typical problems observed may include, but are not limited to, trail creep, washouts, loose boards, nails on bridges, and rotten or broken boards. In the even that maintenance and repair solutions require a method of construction that extends beyond the terms of this contract, the County will evaluate the trail’s conditions of concern and reserves the right to hire of perform additional services based on the extent of work required.
