Kings Road Drainage Improvements

Contractor shall be responsible for providing any and all labor, materials, and equipment required in order for construction of drainage improvements in the vicinity of an existing culverted cross drain on Kings Road, in St. Johns County, Florida. The existing cross drain is located east of Mac Road on Kings Road and consists of a single 60” diameter corrugated metal pipe. The existing deteriorated cross drain will be replaced with dual 54” diameter reinforced concrete pipes. The project will also include the reconstruction of the roadway and installation of new endwalls as shown on the plans. The existing roadway will be milled and resurfaced within limits of the construction. The project will be constructed in three phases (involving temporary travel lanes) to ensure that two lanes of traffic remain open at all times and because no available detour route was available. The phased construction to address maintenance of traffic and the resulting phased drainage improvements are detailed on the plans.
