| Description | Project shall include MEP systems installation and operations. The 10 commissioning process shall generally follow the ASHRAE Guideline-0 and ASHRAE 11 Standard 90.1. Commissioning for this project shall be as necessary for full compliance with 12 2015 IECC commissioning requirements Commissioning Agent (CA): The owner will engage the CA under separate contract Mechanical and plumbing commissioning shall be done by the registered design professional or approved agency. For electrical commissioning the registered design professional shall provide evidence that the system is operating in accordance with the construction documents. Commissioning: Commissioning is a systematic process of ensuring that all building systems perform interactively according to the design intent and the owner's operational requirements. Commissioning during the construction phase is intended to achieve the following specific objectives according to the Contract Documents: 1. Observe and document equipment and systems installations and operations. 2.Observe and document proper performance of equipment and systems per the construction documents. 3.Review systems manual and closeout documentation. The commissioning process does not take away from or reduce the responsibility of the system designers or installing contractors to provide a finished and fully functioning product, equipment or system.
