Description | * Bids submitted on <02/24/2023 > have been rejected. Flat Roof Replacement on the Municipal Building located at 2310 2nd St Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221 . Replace Roof fully complete the projects on or before October 31st, 2023 Bidders must use the printed forms provided therefore, as none other will be accepted. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties making the same, and all parties interested therein, and must be accompanied by a bond or certified check in the sum of five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, on a solvent bank, as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into. Bids will be received only from parties that have obtained a recorded bid set of drawings and specifications. The Director of Public Service reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in any proposal. The successful bidder must post a Performance, Payment, Maintenance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount of the bid. The City of Cuyahoga Falls shall apply a Local Bid Preference to this invitation as outlined in Section 181.08 of the Codified Ordinances. Scope of Work: Cold applied, 2-ply modified bitumen roof system 1. Remove the roof system and wet insulation down to the metal or concrete roof deck. 2. Mechanically Attach or adhere a base layer Polyisocyanurate insulation with all joints staggered. 3. Install a tapered insulation system on all roof sections. 4. Adhere a 1/4" coverboard to the surface of the insulation using insulation adhesive. 5. Crickets are to be constructed between drains and each drain shall be sumped. 6. Cold apply a Garland modified bitumen base and cap sheet. 7. Flashings to be constructed of 2 plies of modified bitumen membrane with all lap seams reinforced with 3-course application of mastic and mesh. 8. Apply a flood and gravel surfacing to the entire roof surface. 9. Install new metal edge and coping. |
